Ok, the whole one legged thing made me shoot my coffee out of my nose. My hubs has one leg. He was a dumb arse, he tried to jump a train when he was 13 years old, the train won. He is quicker without a prosthetic, he can balance on one leg for hours, He hops like a pro, we would win a three legged race hands down. A friend of mine’s son calls him the “Bionic Man” because he opts for a metal leg instead of a cosmetically appealing leg, maybe it is because 10 years ago I took a magic marker to that thing and drew on some “hair” so it looked more like the other leg.
I get “the look” from so many, you know, the “You are the worst woman in the world” look because after 14 years with him I could care less that he has only one leg and yes, I threatened to take away his crutches in Target last week because he kept poking me with the crutches while I was walking. Yes, I yelled that he could hop his “happy a$$ through Target for all I cared”…. ok, where was I going with all of this??
