I spotted this post on Design Mom and just had to share. Don’t you just love the idea of mobile shops? Shopping on a double decker dress shop would be such an adventure! I think this is the next BIG thing to allow brands to extend the reach of their businesses. We’ve seen it with food and now fashion.

When I was little, I lived in my grandmother’s closet amongst her long dresses, chunky heels, and rows of purses. For hours I’d sit with my legs crossed, and soft fabrics adorning my head like a movie star. My young dream was to one day have a perfect closet such as hers.

Flash forward thirty plus years later and I’m still daydreaming about that perfect closet. The only difference? I’m now taking a virtual seat in many women’s closets thanks to Jeana Sohn’s Closet Visit. This site mesmerizes me. I’m always in awe of women who are stylish without even trying.

How many of you love your closets? Is it neat or messy? Is it filled with fashion finds or screaming for an identity like my own closet? Tell me, I’d really like to know.

My 3 year old twins love riding their bikes in the house. It was initially cute and practical, especially on rainy days, but now it’s annoying. Before you judge please hear me out.

They wake up and start the daily hunt for their bikes. Of course, they can’t remember where they last left them. So crying ensues. It’s no ordinary crying. It’s a type of funeral home interrogation wailing: “Ohhhh our BIKES… somebody took our BIKES. Why did somebody took our BIKES? Did you took our BIKES?”

At which I politely answer: “No I didn’t take your bikes. Did you put them in the laundry room (like I ask every. single. day.) after you last rode them? Of course not.” *looks straight ahead and sips lemon water*

Then they walk away unleashing thunderous screeches that can only come from the underbelly of Hell.

This year I’ve become more aware of the products I put on my skin. Once I realized the majority of ingredients in some of my skincare products contain some pretty awful stuff, I started to research more natural alternatives.

One of those alternatives is organic lemon juice as a dark spot and even skin tone corrector. At a certain time each month my jawline and forehead acne is rampant. Once the acne clears I’m left with scars. It’s so unfair because I honestly don’t squeeze them. Sigh. I’m too old for this.

This has been my skincare routine for the past 2 nights: wash my face and neck using warm water and Aveda Purifying Creme Cleanser. I allow my face to air dry. Then I squeeze juice from an organic lemon onto a cotton pad and dab over my entire face and neck. I rinse the next morning with ice cold water. This method is new for me and I plan on giving it adequate time to work before investing in expensive products that could potentially be harmful for my overall health. I’ll post before and after photos if it really, really works:)

I love a good pair of skinny jeans and these colored 1969 Skimmer Legging Jeans from Gap are on my radar. I think mixed with the right tee and wedges I’d have the perfect simple summer look.

My birthday was last Monday and I promised myself a pair, but unfortunately my cash had different plans. I haven’t given up hope yet. I’m cutting out unnecessary expenses, such as soda, which is benefiting more than my wallet. My skin and hair are reaping the rewards too because I’m now replacing my soda intake with water. Win.:)

Burt’s Bees Rosewater & Glycerin Toner:

No one adores Burt’s Bees more than I do. My adoration is somewhat borderline obsessive as I often spend countless hours on their website admiring their natural products. My recent purchase is the Rosewater & Glycerin Toner (for sensitive and mature skin).

Vanity Disclaimer: My skin is most certainly not mature *ahem*.

It arrived in the cutest frosted glass bottle that is 100% recycle. The first thing I did was open the bottle and take a sniff before applying. The smell is best described as rosy and refreshing.

After cleaning my face, I wet a cotton ball with the Rosewater & Glycerin Toner and applied. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not burn or dry my skin, which has been my experience with other toners. In fact, it added moisture, which is a plus for me because my skin is the hardest to hydrate. I then applied my moisturizer. My immediate reaction? I like it.

Obviously we know nothing when it comes to topic of how long it takes bird eggs to hatch… because they’re here! We just discovered them today. An hour ago to be exact.

We weren’t very diligent about checking on them this week; so I don’t know exactly when they were born. But aren’t they tiny and terrific?
