November Goals

I’m always thinking of a goal to achieve. Big or small. It doesn’t matter. The trouble with this is I have a goal list miles long with not a single thing checked off.
It’s the thrill of thinking about doing these things that give me a rush. As soon as the planning and excitement tapers off I’m on to something else. Which is such a waste of time and energy that I can never get back!
A friend kindly pointed this out and suggested that I narrow down my goals to things that can be achieved right now. Today. This week. This month. She says I should select 4 important goals each month and make an honest attempt to complete them.
Sounds feasible.
These are my goals for this month:
1.) Take better care of my body. Exercise at least 30 minutes each day. Drink 8 glasses of water or more per day. Go to bed before 12 AM every night.
2.) Finish a special furniture/design project I’ve been working on.
4.) Organize our laundry room. It needs a major overhaul.
These things aren’t life altering but they are still important to me. Hopefully, I can follow through. How are you when it comes to completing your goals?

I am good at completing goals but sometimes I have trouble making the goals. I am not always sure about the things I want to accomplish.

Great goals!! Some sound pretty easy to complete! As for me? Hmmm…it really all depends on what it is I’m trying to accomplish. I’m really good at finishing those super easy goals but when it comes to something I’m dreading? Yeah, it can take quite a while.

Good luck on your goals and do tell us how you’re coming along on them :O)

Good luck on your goals. I make them and I get very frustrated when they are not done when I want them done. I am very impatient so I tend to not always set goals so far into the future.

Great post… I understand the goal of taking better care of yourself. This year I have lost 31 pounds so far.. My goal until the new year is to lose another 20…. wish me luck!
I’m a good starter, but I hardly ever finish my list. It’s not good!

Oh, this sounds like me. I’ve been getting better lately about completing things. As longs as you don’t ask me about my workout regimen!

goal setting is a good thing when what you strive for is realistic and attainable. i don’t get nearly as much water as i should, so last week i resolved to down 32oz per day. i knew shooting for 64 was out of the question. i didn’t come nowhere near close to that. this week, it’s 16oz per day. once i master that, i’ll move up. can’t wait to see the completed furniture project!
