5 Gifts For A Mom Who’s Worth A Pretty Penny Or Two
Mother’s Day is a special day. A day when most moms across mommyland get to sleep late. Eat uncooked pancakes with a smile. Take a shower before anyone else in the house. And did I say get to sleep late? Sorry. I’m suffering from many years of sleep deprivation. Anyway, let’s face it. For many of us, Mother’s Day is the day. The day we expect a kick-butt gift. And by kick-butt, I’m not referring to a toaster, vacuum cleaner, dust mop, broom, new carpet, washing machine, or dryer. These types of “gifts” make you sweat your butt off. FYI: If you want to sweat your butt off…buy an exercise bike…but not on Mother’s Day. (If that’s your thing-more power to you, it’s just not mine. Let’s hug it out.)
What I speak of is a gift that will knock socks off the floor and into the laundry basket. A gift that says: those bags under your eyes are worth a pretty penny. So here. I didn’t just spend a pretty penny. I spent several pretty pennies.
Below are five gifts, (each under $50…fist pump!) that I would buy for the woman in my life, if she bore 7 children (a set of twins included). I would happily hand them to her, while rubbing her feet, and feeding her fruit. I would also read her the latest issues of O Magazine, Essence, US Weekly, and People. But these are just things I would do.
A card that lists all of her great accomplishments as a mother: Paper Mango’s Etsy Shop: Mother’s Day Card- The List: $3
A hot tee because she’s a such a smokin’ hot mama: Pumpkingirl’s Etsy Shop: Mama Tee: $18

Because she’s a lover of all things sweet. I would present her with some lollipops: Anna Joyce’s Etsy Shop: Spring Lollipop Flower Pillow: $24
Roses that will last forever: The Chartreuse Room’s Etsy Shop: Rose Necklace: $18
And because she’s OH SO STYLISH, a chic clutch: Amie 78′s Etsy Shop: Framed Clutch Purse: $40
FTC, no pretty pennies were paid to have these lovely items featured in the above gift guide. This should be looked at, as an aid for my some husband, who doesn’t know what to buy his wife for Mother’s Day. THAT IS ALL. THERE ARE NO HIDDEN AGENDAS HERE. NONE.

Blogging Tip Of The Week: Finding Your Opportunity
Finding Your Opportunity: Week after week, you see another blogger landing a book deal, a movie deal, or being invited to some fab event. And week after week you wonder when are you going to get your big break? When will your blog name be first on everyone’s blogroll?
Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!
Guess what my friend? You need to stop whining and do something about it. PR people aren’t inviting you to events? Contact them. Want a book deal? Write some kick-ass content, post it, write more kick-ass content. (It’s not an overnight process, you see?) Want a movie deal? Sleep with Tiger Woods. I kid. Please don’t leave me.
All I’m trying to say is…instead of waiting on opportunity to find you. You should go out and find your opportunity.
