Paper Polaroid Pinwheels
The first day of Summer arrived last week, and no one in our household noticed. What jolted my memory was the abundance of pinwheels in our local stores. It’s around the beginning of summer when they stock a variety of colors and sizes.

I usually buy a dozen or so for the family. They’re not nearly as pretty as these pictured above from Paper Polaroid, but we enjoy them just the same. We have a little competition to see who can get their pinwheel to spin the longest after the wind blows.
I’m usually the sore loser of the bunch. It seems every year I select the pinwheel that spins the shortest length of time. Go figure. That’s why I usually cheat and start blowing my pinwheel.
These pinwheels would be fun to have for a 4th of July celebration.
Does your family have a special summertime tradition?
